Animal Lodge was set up by accident. We enjoy seeing the animals around us, and when we took over this property, there was no real wildlife. Our neighbours are farming communities and the previous owners saw such animals as pest and vermin.
After 3 long years we are at a stage where we have tranquility and refuge for most animals. We have pheasants and rabbits all year round along with squirrels, morehens and badgers.
Our own animals comprise of chickens, geese, ornamental ducks and pigs.
We are in the stages of breeding the animals and getting used to the extra stock, but we are getting there.
This week, our sow gave birth to six piglets. Please view the above video for the daily movie of them, to see them progress. There is a calander on the right hand side that will show you the previous videos.
